Cape May - Day 2
We saw a ton of things today, rented bikes so that we could go to Cape May Point and see the lighthouse, beach, and bird observatory.
We had a great breakfast at Congress Hall, (which is over two hundred years old), at a restaurant called The Blue Pig Tavern, which had amazing atmosphere for breakfast.
The walls were decorated with posters and things featuring Congress Hall.
Here are some of the homes around Congress Hall! The hotel itself takes up a whole block, mostly with its huge lawn.
I loved how cute the Fudge store was over here, but we didn't get a chance to go in.

I loved the old, hand painted dolphin sign and the few on the side too! McGlade's is a sessional restaurant so it was closed when we went.
Some more shots of the buildings that were close by.
Here's the Emlen Physick Estate, we stopped by before going on the tour the next day to get tickets.
Some fresh donuts and a very cute bag.
This school was built in the 1920s and is no longer in use.
We biked a few miles, originally going to go all the way to the end for the lighthouse, but stopped to check out the bird sanctuary. It's such a peaceful and quiet place, you can walk right up to the beach too.
We decided to just walk to the lighthouse through the paths, which is about two miles. There are a lot of birds around, mostly swans, which dotted the water.
We didn't go into the lighthouse since it was closed, but the sights of it from the beach were fantastic.
We stopped by the beach that faced the lighthouse, and saw a little bit of the amazing sunsets of Cape May.
