Tribeca Sights
Tribeca is such a great Manhattan neighborhood, the old sidewalks and little side streets are so fun to explore. Here's some pics from around the Financial District, then walking into Tribeca. The whole reason for the walk was to go to the Ring Ding Bar, in the heart of Tribeca. It was good, but not amazing for $5.
Trinity Church, always a nice sight in the middle of the city. The last time I saw it there was all snow around the graves, so the coming of spring makes it look even better.
The old Stock Exchange, one that I have passed by a few times but never noticed. This is almost right across from Trinity. The building doesn't even look like it's in use now.
Some other beautiful buildings around the Financial District.
I've been looking a lot at buildings that have names on them, usually at the top.
A cute little side street that's on the block of the bakery we visited, this might be one of the coolest blocks in all of the city.
This is the Tribeca skybridge, and according to the NYP, it's one hundred and eight years old and was used to transport people from ambulances to a hospital clinic.
Mercantile Exchange Building, built in the late 1800s. The whole building, not just the entrance, is beautiful and I'll get a picture next time I see it.
The Bendheim Building, built in 1898.
First little signs of flowers, this was along a walkway.
