Breezy Point + Fort Tilden

I've been to Fort Tilden more times than I can count, it's been one of my favorite places since I was a kid. I wanted to take the new camera to take some newer pictures of the batteries and buildings. I already have many pictures of the insides of the buildings, but will want to return again to take more.

When you get to Breezy Point, there's a truck that sells hotdogs, sandwiches, fries, shakes, etc. It didn't taste too great this time for some reason but usually is a great beach time lunch. (They also have a huge list of shake flavors to pick from.)

Across from the truck, a landing for the ferry and some old brick buildings. The beach has many people fishing, and there are the remains of an old pier.

One of the first buildings we see every time, right next to the parking lot. This one is pretty empty inside, with a collapsing ceiling and things thrown all over. It does, however, have a few pieces of old machinery.

Battery Harris West, the first battery you come upon on the trail. The usually less graffitied battery on the outside, but both of them have been drawn all over, even when it's painted over weeks or months before.

Battery Harris West, the one that has a set of (steep) stairs leading to the top.

The trail near Battery West, secluded and near a marsh/swamp.

Just a few of the buildings that are covered by plants along the trail.
